The first three links of introductory resources in this activity were broken, including the Del.icio.us tutorial. I did check out how the various libraries use tagging and found the PLCMCL2's bookmarks somewhat helpful, but feel like I'm lacking a good overview of this topic.
I think tagging is useful as an informal cataloging method. But I've always thought tag clouds were nonintuitive and intimidating for the uninitiated, which limits their potential as a method of information access.
